What an historic day for our Club at The Rotary Foundation District 7980 Luncheon this past Sunday, November 2 in Branford, CT! Not only did we have an historic attendance, we received 7 awards including our Simon Cooper receiving a TRF Distinguished Service Award! Rich Vazzana, Jim Finklea, Cliff Heidinger, Simon Cooper, Bev Rogers, and Bill Maxwell attended this year’s event. Both Jim and Cliff, who are past Club Presidents, confirmed that having 6 attendees was remarkable and certainly showcased our Club at this year’s event.

Our awards included Highest Total Annual Fund Dollars Contributed – Top 10; 100% EREY and $100 Per Capita minimum Clubs; White Knight Clubs ($175 per capita & 70% Sustaining Members); Clubs with Per Capita giving of $175 or more; Clubs with 70% or more Sustaining Members; Polio Certificate of Appreciation; and Simon Cooper receiving a TRF Distinguished Service Award.

Rich commented, “these awards reflect the valued leadership of last year’s President Joe Kreitz.” “Joe encouraged all of us to step up our game and as a small club out of nearly 60 in our District, we certainly did,” said Rich. It is our first year in the White Knight Club. Simon Cooper did us proud in accepting his award for distinguished service – congratulations Simon and thank you!
