We talk about “we do make a difference” and that certainly
applies to the RSO and Laurie Kenagy’s leadership. What a
fantastic presentation documenting what they did to survive the
pandemic while becoming a more relevant
Western Connecticut organization. They never
lost sight of the fact that musicians earn a living
by making music. They have dramatically
increased the reach of
the RSO by creating
many partnerships.
One of the truly exciting part of Laurie’s
presentation was how they are reaching children
in the elementary schools, High School musicians
through coaching and Seniors through mini
concerts while partnering with Nuvance Health to
make the hospital experience pleasant.
